The pacing is too slow here for my taste， but I really appreciate the emphasis on emotional vulnerability and open communication。 This would be a good one for middle school kids who are into shojo。

This volume contains chapters 4-7 where a misunderstanding creates a wall between Sawako and Yoshida， Yano。 There's a rumour spreading that Yano and Yoshida are slut and delinquent。 What's bad is that Sawako is supposedly the one who began this rumour *eyeroll*， as if she could do that。 As expected， Sawako is poor， very poor at clearing the misunderstandings， creating more misunderstandings and more misunderstandings and more misunderstandings and more misunderstandings。。。you get the gist of it This volume contains chapters 4-7 where a misunderstanding creates a wall between Sawako and Yoshida， Yano。 There's a rumour spreading that Yano and Yoshida are slut and delinquent。 What's bad is that Sawako is supposedly the one who began this rumour *eyeroll*， as if she could do that。 As expected， Sawako is poor， very poor at clearing the misunderstandings， creating more misunderstandings and more misunderstandings and more misunderstandings and more misunderstandings。。。you get the gist of it and she herself misunderstands the root of the problem （there is so much miscommunication in the series。。。well， it is the main theme of the story， so…）， thinking that being friends with Yano， Yoshida and Kazehaya smears their ‘popularity’， she decides to avoid them。 And ta da， you have a conflict and a plot to follow。 I loved how Yano and Yoshida had so much confidence in Sawako's innocence， laughing at the rumours and not believing the accusation at Sawako。 It was heartwarming to see them clearing away the misunderstandings and officially becoming friends at the end。 Also， applause for Kazehaya， that guy is resilient in his pursuit to ‘woo’ the ignorant Sawako， he always knows when to show up and do a heart to heart talk with Sawako。 Interested to see how long does it take Sawako to realise that he is interested in her。 My guess is in the end， though I hope I am wrong *nervous laughter* because it is 30 volumes long。 。。。more

3。5 - Lots of drama between the girls in the school。 Oh boy， it’s intense。 I would say， after reading this one， it’s really like “The Wallflower” （but not gory）， “Komi Can’t Communicate” （lol almost everything about it is similar） and “My Little Monster” （but more awkward）。Enjoyable but may not suit your tastes。
